Up, Up and Away
Feel your spirits soar as you float gently across city and farmlands, rivers and towns. Let the wind take you where it will. You could find yourself high above the mighty Waikato River as it cleaves a path through the region which bears its name, or gazing at bush clad mountain tops that were once volcanoes.
The balloon flies as fast as the wind blows, so it’s comfortable and calm in the basket. Each flight brings a new adventure and a different destination.
The Flight Departure
At around an hour into the flight, the pilot looks for a suitable landing place. As the balloon is steered by different wind currents at different altitudes, the landing is the most demanding part of the Kiwi Balloon flight.
After about an hour of flight Mark will find the perfect landing spot where he will gracefully bring the balloon & basket to rest.
Once packed up, with everyone’s help, we all set off for hot coffee and nibbles to chat about the experience.
